I ordered the XL to fit a 7 month belly even though I would normally have worn a large. The baby skeleton sits perfectly on my bump. The rib cage is a little small, but the focus is the baby so it didn't bother me. The material is thick and soft. I have not washed it yet, so I can't say whether it will shrink or fade.
